Who We Are

We are a collective of arts professionals, producers, facilitators, and community advocates with over 40 years’ experience in using creativity to transform lives.

Shout Collective CIC is grounded in the belief that every voice deserves to be heard, especially those often silenced by stigma, inequality, or exclusion.

Our Mission

To support mental health, champion inclusion, and unlock leadership through creative expression.

We work with and for women, migrants, young people, and communities facing marginalisation — offering safe spaces to express, reflect, and connect.

Our Approach

“We give voice to those who feel unheard.”

We design experiences that centre care, creativity, and connection.

We believe that by combining performance with reflection, and art with advocacy, we can create space for healing and leadership to grow.

Our three pillars are:

Mental Health & Wellbeing Through Engagement
Safe, trauma-informed workshops in movement, music, and storytelling

Leadership & Empowerment
Skill-building, mentorship, and public speaking for underrepresented voices

Representation & Advocacy
Platforms to share real stories through festivals, panels, and creative media

What We Do

We believe that by combining performance with reflection, and art with advocacy, we can create space for healing and leadership to grow.

Shout Festivals & Events

We produce pop-up and annual festivals that combine performance, lived experience, and open dialogue — creating inclusive spaces to explore mental health, challenge stigma, and strengthen community connection.

Wellbeing Through Creativity

We deliver co-created sessions in movement, writing, and music that support emotional wellbeing, build confidence, and empower individuals to express what matters most — in their own voice, and on their own terms.

Mentorship & Leadership Development

We offer mentoring and skill-building opportunities that nurture emerging leaders from underrepresented communities — supporting them to grow, lead, and shape change through creativity and collective action.

Participant Stories

“This is the first time I have spoken openly about my mental health and I felt very comfortable doing so.”

“I had never heard of Depersonalisation Derealisation Disorder before. The way it was expressed through art was amazing.”

“When I arrived at Shout London, I thought I would just observe and see how things work. The art, poetry and performances were so inspirational. The panel discussions were honest and from the heart. I surprised myself by asking questions and joining in with the conversation, which was such a relief finding out that other people have the same lived experience as me with their mental health. Thank you so much Shout London.”

“Hearing people’s stories of how they express themselves through their art and how it helps with their mental health struggles was so interesting. I am going to join a dance class as soon as I can!”

“ I was not aware that men suffered with eating disorders before, I always assumed it was teenage girls. I found the film “Unspoken” so moving and such an education for me. Also, the discussion with the nurses from PEDS and the person with lived experience of Anorexia has prepared me for noticing the signs of eating disorders and how to broach the subject with my own children. Thank you so much.”

“The panel discussion on trauma and abuse I found so empowering. It was incredible to hear so many stories of women’s struggles and how far they have come. I am so grateful to have been there for this and having listened to the stories of like-minded women.”

“I can’t wait for the next Shout London - it’s a shame it’s only once a year!”

“Being of Irish heritage, I was so pleased to see two Irish films that I would not have the opportunity to see in the UK. The whole subject of suicide within the traveller community I was not aware of before, neither was I aware of male eating disorders. The discussion on eating disorders was so enlightening, especially hearing Becky’s lived experience. Everyone was so generous with their stories, I’m looking forward to coming to the next Shout event.”

“I loved the poetry wall and will start writing my own poetry to express my feelings.”
